EC-TEL 2007 Call for Participation Reminder

In three weeks we will meet at the the Second European Conference on Technology Enhanced Learning EC-TEL’07 in Crete, Greece. The deadline for Early Bird Registration is next Monday, August 27!

These exciting events are but a selection of what will happen at EC-TEL:

  • 15 sessions in three parallel tracks
  • Two keynotes from experts (Hermann Maurer & Bruce Sterling) who are also science fiction authors
  • The Globe panel discussing global learning experiences
  • The EU commission discussing news from FP6 and FP7 research programmes on Technology Enhanced Learning
  • The industrial session with European Technology Enhanced Learning companies
  • The poster and demonstration session with displays from almost all European projects on Technology Enhanced Learning
  • A conference wrap up session with Matthias Jarke
  • Eight workshops with topics from different areas in Technology Enhanced Learning
  • The Second Doctoral Consortium on Technology Enhanced Learning
  • EU project meetings from TEL projects like PROLIX, PROLEARN and COOPER

To make this event even more exciting, we will use the next three weeks to prepare the conference using Web 2.0 technologies. We offer the following goodies to you:

  • We have successfully negotiated with Springer to make the proceedings available for two weeks before and two weeks after the conference for registered participants (Many thanks to the people at Springer).
  • The registration at the main web site http://www.ectel07.org is still open. Stay tuned for latest announcements
  • We have just launched the EC-TEL blog at https://ectel07.wordpress.com for you. Come and join us to discuss and prepare the conference and get most value out of it.
  • We will create a science fiction competition. Winners will get special discounts for the conference!
  • Authors of posters and papers can present and discuss their work in the weeks leading up to the conference. We will contact you!
  • We invite everybody to become a author in our blog or just inform us to get on our blogroll
  • You will be able to submit your questions for the keynoters beforehand
  • Perhaps you have even better ideas? Just write and comment
